I’ve been dedicated to becoming a better runner since 2006. Through the drive of 13 years of effort to BQ, I learned an endless amount about what it takes to become a successful runner. The knowledge from my own running failures has allowed me to help other runners achieve their goals faster and healthier. I’m far from the fastest runner, but you will always see me at the finish line.

How RunnerChecklists Will Benefit You
I’m a backer of those willing to learn. The running-related question I ask myself in my own training and when others ask me for guidance is, “How can we improve our running?”
In other words, I want to constantly be learning and improving. That doesn’t always mean becoming a faster runner. That can mean being a stronger runner, a less injured runner, a more confident runner, or a consistent runner.
My lessons at RunnerChecklists focus on…
- How to make small changes that produce big growth
- How to apply the knowledge from past failures to improve
- How to simplify training
- How to build a running regiment into life (not the other way around)
Most of all, I want to help runners, whether beginner or experienced, achieve their running goals while living life at the same time.
Most of what you will read on RunnerChecklists is a combination of knowledge from my experience and the teachings of the running community to me. My former Coach Patrick Cutter taught me so much beyond how to run a race.
What Can We Help You With
Everyone has their own short and long-term running goals. We hope to be the spot you go to no matter that goal.
Start in these sections based on your current ability:
- I’m a Beginner Runner (CLICK HERE)
- I’m an Intermediate or Novice Runner (CLICK HERE)
- I’m an Advanced or Experienced Runner ( CLICK HERE)
The running community has taught me more about learning than I could have expressed through my own experience. I consider it my duty to pass these teachings on to other runners to help more runners feel the sense of accomplishment I have.
I will not profess that I know everything about running. Far from it.
I’m more often going to discuss where I failed and what I learned from my failures than I will express, “This is the only way. You must do it this way.” I want to pass on what I’ve learned as my way to pay back to the running community all that it has given to me.
Hopefully, you will find value in my perspective and can take away some of my teachings to become a better runner today.
